Drowning, a poem

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii 🙂

So I love to write poetry, but most of my attempts are complete and utter garbage. Seriously. The papers go in the trash can.

But the other day I was at the dentist’s with some paper and a pen and well, I don’t know if this one is any better than my previous attempts but here goes:

I’m drowning in a sea of tears,

I stand upon the brink,

I try to swim but find I can’t

Just please don’t let me sink.

—————————————-

Underneath the roaring waves,

The sea is calm and blue.

I wonder if I shouldn’t stay,

And make the note come true.

——————————————
They tell me it’s a shortcut,

And that I know is true,

One I sometimes want to take,

When I feel very blue.
——————————————

But in the end, I know,

It’ll only cause more tears,

So despite how much I want to,

I can’t succumb to fear.

——————————————-
I hope I won’t be broken,

And that my heart will mend,

But I will keep on fighting,

Until the bitter end.

So… what do y’all think? (Yes, I hve no clue how to close this… but it IS my very first post ever…)

So… thank y’all so much for reading!! Have a great day 🙂
